As of April 5, 2025, there is no publicly available information indicating that the United States has imposed preliminary anti-dumping duties ranging from 40% to 88% on galvanized steel imports from Vietnam. However, the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations on corrosion-resistant steel (CORE) products imported from Vietnam on September 25, 2024. These investigations are part of a broader examination involving ten countries, including Vietnam.
In the countervailing duty investigation, the DOC preliminarily determined that countervailable subsidies are being provided to producers and exporters of certain CORE products from Vietnam. This determination was published in the Federal Register on February 10, 2025.
While these investigations are ongoing, no specific anti-dumping duties have been finalized or imposed at this time. It’s important to note that trade investigations can evolve, and outcomes may change based on findings and negotiations between the involved parties.
